  • For use before, during and after surgical procedures to improve surgical outcomes and animal longevity.
  • Animal heat loss begins immediately after pre-medication as tranquilizers act by depressing the hypothalamus. Animals experience the most heat loss immediately after induction and during the first 20 minutes of the surgery.
  • If animals are not actively warmed during surgery, negative outcomes can include an increase in blood loss, impaired tissue perfusion, adverse cardiac events and increased infection rates.
  • Following surgical procedures, heating pads can be placed in the animal’s home cage for faster recovery.

Easy to use, pre-programmed temperatures available, 3 sizes

  • Monitor and maintain animal temperature with a choice of three settings: pre-programmed animal specific temperatures, timer or use with thermal probe.
  • Easy to use dial control.
  • Select mouse, rat or home-cage heating pad.
  • Lightweight, small footprint.
  • Model X1 controls 1 heating pad. X2 controls 2 independent heating pads simultaneously.
  • Perfect complement to our line of Ventilators and Anesthesia Systems, our BP Recorder, and our Stereotaxic Instruments.

The new Rodent Warmer can be used as a general warming system or with a rectal probe (sold separately) for more accurate, core temperature monitoring during pre- and post-op surgical procedures:
Before: Heating pad can be placed underneath an induction chamber to reduce heat loss during anesthetic administration.
During: Place heating pad on a rodent surgery table or stereotaxic instrument to maintain and monitor temperature during surgical procedures, ventilation and anesthesia.
After: Cage heating pads can be placed in the animal’s home cage for faster recovery following surgical procedures.
